girl look at that body ahhhhh

First off with getting a pageant body has been all about food. Fast foods need to be diminshed from your daily diets. Fast food is just as addicting as a drug. We were raised in a fast food industry as well as fast pased lifestyles, thats not our fault but its not healthy for us as adults and especially children.  Steer away from fast foods and if its your only option then get the fruit cup at Chick-fil-A instead of the fries. Instead of a Big Mac get the Chicken Salad, GRILLED! Also, eliminate soft drinks. I know how hard that can be, I use to be a Mountain Dew freak!  Once you start eating healthy, the nasty foods almost aren't as tasty as before and it becomes a habit. Secondly I work out. Some ladies just run in the gym and I do it all. Not only should you do the treadmill or olyptical, go lift some weights and do the machines. Try out a class too! They are so much fun and really burns a lot of calories! Later on this week I'm going to post a video of my routine for my ab workout.

Memories, Memories

Thought I would share a photo of my childhood! This is me, my older sister April and little cousin Jackson. They were my best friends when I was young and still are today. Family is one of the most important things in life! After all blood is much thicker than water. Family will always be there for you even when no one else is.

Colossians 3:20

Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

My first photo shoot for my reign

I had a photo shoot in Charlotte, NC today with Shasta Johnson! She is so amazing, and a sweetheart. I had photos with a tiara and horses which equals the love of my life. I had such a fun time, and this photo is just from her iPhone. So i can't imagine what the real pictures will turn out like. Met some great people that introduced me to a Veterinary Camp and Horse Camp in July, yay :)

March 10, 2012 was the best night of my life...

Hello, my name is Shelby Cannon. I am 18 years old and a freshman in college. I live in Waynesville, NC but plan on moving to Johnson City, TN in the fall 2012 to attend ETSU for their pre-veterinary program. I have always wanted to be veterinarian since I was a little girl. I had never entered a pageant before, and I must say I am completely surprised that I took home the title. I am so honored to hold the position of you're new Miss Teen North Carolina Int'l 2012! This year is going to be full of fun appearances, raising awareness, volunteer work, and making new friends! I am an advocate for therapeutic horseback riding!
